Smoked Mackerel, Lemon & Herb Pate
Impress your guests with this tasty little starter. This is also one of the easiest recipes in the world (if not the easiest).
If you're not a fan of smoked mackerel, you could substitute it for smoked salmon.

Ingredients
- 250g smoked mackerel fillets, skin and bones removed, flaked
- 200g cream cheese
- 1
lemon, zested and juiced - 1-2 tbsp creamed horseradish, to taste
- 2 tbsp each of chopped parsley and chives
- Melba toast or slices of toasted brioche to serve
Instructions
- Put the smoked mackerel, cheese, lemon juice and zest in a food processor and whizz until blended.
- Stir in the herbs and horseradish. Chill until ready to serve.
